Dummy Camera
Camera lenses for dummies?
I'm looking to buy a nice camera instead of my crappy digital one (Any suggestions?) and they all talk about lenses like EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens and the EF-S 55mm-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS lens. I have no idea what that means! Will someone please explain it and tell me which one would be better and why? Thank you all!!
Also what does "SLR" mean?

In order to use those lenses, you must have a DSLR. Well, a Canon DSLR for the lenses you mentioned.
